Minnesota Semi-finalist

I just received word that my short play The Trade has been named a semi-finalist in the Minnesota Shorts competition. There are actually 70 semi-finalists, so it's not that big of an honor, but it's still nice to hear.

In June, a new round of judges will announce eight finalists. Of those, seven will be produced at the Minnesota Shorts Play Festival, with the last play being an alternate in case there are any problems. The festival is currently scheduled for September 4-5 at the Mankato West Theatre in Mankato, MN.

Last year's winners included plays by James Grob, Dan McGeehan, CJ Erhlich, Mary Steelsmith, Brett Hursey, Mark Harvey Levine, and Donna Hoke.
