The event will be on Monday, November 7th, at 7pm on Theatre Row, where the show is playing. The event is free, but reservations are required.
I'll be speaking on a panel that will also include Avanthika Srinivasan, the star of Candida, fellow dramatist Marcus Scott, and Charlotte Moore, the Artistic Director of the Irish Repertory Theatre.
In addition, we'll be joined by a number of Shaw scholars, including Ellen Dolgin from Dominican University New York, Andrew Flescher from SUNY Stony Brook, and Martin Meisel, formerly of Columbia University.
You can make your free reservation through eventbrite. The panel will discuss how the issues in Candida relate to us today. It is not necessary to see the production in order to enjoy the panel, but you definitely should see it anyway, as it's quite good.
