This morning, I filmed a segment for the CUNY TV show THEATER: All The Moving Parts with host Patrick Pacheco and special guest director Jack O'Brien.
We were discussing Tom Stoppard, whose play Leopoldstadt is currently on Broadway at the Longacre Theatre. I saw the show last night, and it's pretty amazing.
This morning I talked about my own experience as a theatre historian and teacher of drama. Joining us remotely was O'Brien, who has directed numerous Stoppard plays in the past, including the Broadway production of The Coast of Utopia, which starred Billy Crudup, Ethan Hawke, Martha Plimpton, and Amy Irving, among others.
While I'm not sure when this segment will run, Pacheco's show usually airs on Friday night at 9:30 pm, with additional showings on Saturday at 7:30 am and 3:30 pm, on Sunday at 6:30 am, and then on Monday at 7:00 am, 1:00 pm, and 11:00 pm. CUNY TV is broadcast on NYC Metro channel 25.3, Spectrum/Optimum channel 75, RCN channel 77, and Verizon FiOS channel 30.
Tune in if you can!
